This has been a pretty good week. I worked a couple days. I substitute teach occasionally for the local school system, sort of a give-back thing. I did 2 half day teaching jobs and lucked out with good kids both days. Today's kids in a public school system could fill an entire blog.
We went with our friends Rodney and Don on a road trip Friday. Rodney picked up his new Honda Pilot on Monday and was itching to take it out on the road. We left around 10 Friday morning, drove to Stilwater for lunch at Eskimo Joe's, then to Guthrie (Oklahoma's first State Capital) to shop in the antique stores. We had planned to have dinner in OKC before returning to Tulsa but another friend called and invited us to dinner so since it was getting late in the day we decided to meet Gene and Jim in Tulsa.
Saturday was the first and smallest home and garden show in the Tulsa area. This one has free admission and about 165 distributors. We get there about 1:30 and the placed was absolutely packed!!! I mean you could barely navigate through the maze of people. We got through part of the show and then just left, it wasn't worth pushing through the crowds.
Sunday was another beautiful day so I decided to tackle a motorhome project. The bedroom TV is mounted at the end of the bed which is good but is installed in a cabinet above the washer/dryer. Because it is so high it makes it difficult to see the picture without shadowing. The project was to build a new frame enabling the TV to angle enough to eliminate the shadowing when watching in bed. The project turned out OK but was more of a job than I thought. I even solicited Brad's help!! Typical for me, what I thought would take a couple hours took about 4. Oh well. it's done and we have a much better angle for watching TV from bed.
Today I am going to try getting reservations at one of the Florida State Parks located in the Florida Keys. This is an annual crap shoot. The rates in the Keys State Parks are about a third of the private campground so there are literally thousands of people trying to reserve sites. Reservations are made on-line using ReserveAmerica.com so it is truly the luck of the click. hopefully this year things will "click"!

I am trying to figure out the blogger website. I think I need to read all the information in the "how to" or "help" sections because I can't even find what I have entered before. This task of figuring it out is making me feel like an illiterate, which I've never felt before.
I am going to post this to see if I can find it - wish me luck.
